Linking to Lynda.com Resources
All Conestoga faculty, staff, and students have access to the educational video materials on Lynda.com. This guide will show you how to create links to those videos and resources from within your eConestoga course.
Part 1: Get a Sharing URL from Lynda.com
- Go to the LRC website and click the Lynda.com button under Quick Links.
- Two ways to log in are presented. Click the link underneath the heading "Log In Through The Library", and then sign in with your Conestoga network username and password.
- Locate the Lynda.com resource you wish to link your students to.
- Click on the Share link towards the top right of the screen.
- In the menu that appears, locate a heading labeled "Share this course within your organization", and click the Copy button beside it.

Part 2: Create a link in eConestoga
- Log into eConestoga, open your course, and click "Content" at the top of the screen.
- Navigate to the content Module where you want the link to appear.
- In the main panel on the right, click Upload/Create, then choose Create a Link.
- In the dialog box that appears, click inside the "URL" field, and then press Ctrl+V on your keyboard to paste.
- Give the link a title, then check the "Open as External Resource" box.
- When you're finished, click Create.

When a student in your course clicks on this link, they will be asked to log in with their Conestoga network username and password, and then they will be taken directly to the resource you chose on Lynda.com.
