Temporary Role Switch
The Temporary Role Switch feature allows certain types of users to temporarily change their access level in eConestoga.
Currently, Temporary Role Switch is only available to users from the Accessibility Services department. The feature allows them to temporarily switch to Student access in order to complete the Academic Integrity Compliance Acknowledgment in courses they are supporting, which is needed to let them access content in certain courses.
Other cases for Role Switch are currently being planned, and will appear in the near future.
If you are enrolled in a role that is permitted to Role Switch, switching is a fairly easy process:

- At the top of the Course Homepage, next to where your current Role is listed, click Switch.
- A box will appear that explains what role you are about to switch to, and how long the change will last. When you're ready, click Temporarily Switch My Role.
- You're done! Carry out whatever tasks you need to in the temporary role; after the time limit expires, you'll be automatically reverted to your original role.
