Update Respondus After Copying
If you copy one or more Respondus-enabled quizzed into your course, there is an update step that you must do before your students will be able to write any of those quizzes. The update is very quick to do.
- Go to Course Tools -> Quizzes.
- Click the “LockDown Browser” tab at the top of the screen.
- If this is the first time you're accessing the LockDown Browser tab, you will need to authorize Respondus to access your account information. Only your name and employee e-mail address will be passed to the vendor.
- You will be taken to a list of the quizzes that exist in your course. A white popup box will appear on top of the list, telling you that your settings have been updated.

That’s it– you don’t need to do anything else. That white popup box indicates that all necessary updates have been completed for you automatically. Your students can now attempt their quizzes.
