Your course's homepage contains important information about what is happening in each of your courses. It is a good idea to stop on the homepage and check for updates each time you visit your courses.

Your course's homepage is divided into four different tabs, which you can access on the left side of the screen (or across the bottom when viewed on a mobile device).

Home Tab

The student homepage. A list of links appears across the top: Course Outline, Instructional Plan, Textbook, Program Handbook, and Group Work Expectations. Under that on the left, there is a welcome announcement from the instructor. On the right, the day and time of the next online meeting is shown. Under that, two assignments and a midterm are listed under the heading Work To Do.

The Home tab is where you land when you first open each course. On the Home tab, you will find:

  • Links to your course's Outline, Instructional Plan, and Textbook.
  • Announcements that your instructor has posted to alert you to important things happening in your course.
  • Information about when and how your class will meet.
  • A "Work To Do" section which lists assessments that are due in the near future.

Dashboard Tab

The student dashboard tab. A link to the What-If Calculator appears at the top. On the left is the Grades Progress block, which shows the student's current grade. On the right, Content Progress shows how much of the course's content the student has completed. At the bottom, the Overdue Items block tells the student that they have no assessments overdue.

The Dashboard tab shows you information about each course's grades and assessments.

  • The What-If Calculator. This tool shows you the grades you have earned so far in your course, and then lets you experiment with possible grades you might earn on future assessments to see how your final grade would be impacted.
  • Grades Progress, which shows you two versions of your final grade:
    • a Current Average based only on work that has been completed. This number will generally be higher.
    • a Total Earned that considers all assessments in the course, including future assessments that haven't been completed yet. This number starts at 0 and slowly rises until all work has been completed at the end of the semester.
  • Content Progress, which shows you how much of your course's content you've looked at.
  • Overdue Items, which tells you if you missed submitting an assessment whose End Date or Due Date has passed.

Schedule Tab

The student Schedule tab. The page says that it is Week 5, and gives the start and end dates of that week. A clickable block says that there are 2 important dates this week, and a link to the Week 5 folder in Content is shown. At the bottom, there is a calendar with various course dates spread across the month.

The Schedule tab presents information about the current week of your course, and also lets you look forward to what will be happening in future weeks.

  • This Week, which shows you assessments and other activities that will be completed during the current week.
  • A calendar that shows you events that will be occurring during each month of the course.

Help Tab

The student Help tab. A search bar is shown at the top. A list of support contacts is shown on the left: Your Instructor, eConestoga Support, IT Services, Online Meetings, Library Services, eText, and McGraw Hill Support. Your Instructor is selected. A large panel on the right shows the instructor's name, explains when they should direct questions to the instructor, and provides a link to e-mail them.

The Help tab lets you find help with any technical problems you might be experiencing.

  • The Help Search at the top lets you search for guides and videos that explain how to use the tools in eConestoga.
  • Support contacts on the left side provide an easy way to contact your instructor and the various support services available at Conestoga. When you click on any support contact, the page will explain what that contact can help you with, and then provides links you can use to reach out to that support service for help.
