In most cases, content should be available to copy from a master course or a previous delivery of your course for you to use as a starting point for your new semester's course shell. If no previous content is available, or if you just want to start from scratch, you can use the Remote Delivery Template to set up the Course Information module and a set of 14 weekly modules within your course shell, which you can then build on top of.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT load the template into a course shell that already contains content; it is only intended to be loaded into completely blank eConestoga course shells.

To load the template into your blank course shell:

  1. Download the Remote Delivery Template ZIP file. Save it somewhere on your computer in a location where you will be able to retrieve it later.
  2. Open your course shell. Go to the Content area to ensure that there is no content currently in the shell.
  3. Click Course Admin -> Import/Export/Copy Components.
  4. Choose the Import option at the bottom, and leave the default sub-option-- "from a course package"-- selected. Click Start.
  5. A popup window will appear, labeled Select a File. Click Upload to open the file selector.
  6. Locate the Remote Delivery Template ZIP file you saved earlier, select it, and then click Open.
  7. Click Import All Components to finish importing the template into your course.
